Encalada Brothers: Christian, Richard, and Frank are Peruvian by birth and have had clear passions since a young age. Christian dreamed of a career in football, while Richard and Frank dreamed of having their own business. Today, they have more than 10 restaurants in different areas of the United States and are a testament to perseverance and hard work.
Although they had different visions, they shared the same objective: they were eager to achieve success. Christian discovered his passion for gastronomy.
“I remember living alone and cooking every day. I watched all the cooking shows, I really enjoyed watching the preparations, and that’s how I learned until I decided to study Gastronomy in Peru.
The journey led me to be a part of several renowned restaurants in Peru, the United States, and Spain,” says Christian.
Frank, considered by Christian as the “generator of new ideas and the most creative of all,” continued with his idea of starting his own company and prepared very well before taking on this challenge.
Nothing stopped them, and on September 12, 2011, they opened Divino Ceviche in Doral, and some time later, they also opened in Coral Gables.
Richard adds: “When my brothers started with Divino Ceviche, I was a strategic partner. At that time, I was involved in aviation and living in Japan. I was close to Frank and Christian while they were developing the entire creative stage, and I joined the dream with the development of our first franchisable concept: Ceviches by Divino.”
The Encalada Brothers agree that the key to starting and running a successful family business is trust and teamwork. Frank is in charge of innovation and creativity, Richard is in charge of administration, and Christian is in charge of the kitchen.
